Troubleshooting
“Too many of us are not living our dreams because we are living our fears.”
Been having issues with my keyboard’s rbg flashing randomly and I am unable to easily replicate the issue to record it in video. It’s been slowing driving me crazy 😅 Did another troubleshooting test with terminal to force the firmware update. Let’s see if this finally works.
Also the quote is from a typing test to see if I can force the issue to happen.

A feeling that stayed with me
A parent of an old friend passed away recently. I’ve been crying lot. I wasn’t very close to them, but in the few interactions I’ve had left a large impression on me growing up. What I witnessed in their demeanor, lifestyle, and family life had shown me something very different than I was used to. Shortly before they passed, my friend asked me to record a memory to listen to – I hope it conveyed my deepest gratitude and gave them peace knowing that their love and kindness reached beyond their own family.
Three Falcons
Lots of complicated feelings lately but very grateful that my husband is still here and recovering. Three falcons have been hanging around our house for a couple days now. Surprised they are coming up to the windows and look playful. It feels like a good sign – like they are watching over us.
Keyboard refresh
Needed an update (so I’m not tempted to by another keyboard 😅)
Updated my Nuphy Halo V1 with Retro Sakura switches and new keycaps.
Need some release
After an unfortunate, unexpected (but statistically inevitable) visit to the ER this week, we’re finally back home. My husband is dealing with some built up pressure from all the medications so I came up with this soup that will hopefully help.
Another kind of floaties
These don’t help you swim- and they are quite distracting. Suddenly starting noticing the floaters in my 36th year.
Phelsuma Klemmeri
Since I was feeling challenged by a potential endless maintenance of a fruit fly colony in the house, I started researching into other creatures that can thrive inside a bioactive vivarium. Came across these lil colorful dudes- the Neon Day Gecko. I wan’t originally considering geckos, but this one is just big enough to mainly live off of a paste diet with some supplemental insects – instead of (ugh) live flies being their main nutrient option.
Ranitomeya
Been researching more into other types of frogs and their care. Thumbnail dart frogs are even smaller and can be better kept in groups. I specifically like the Ranitomeya Variabilis ‘Southern’ or the Ranitomeya Imitator ‘Tarapoto’.
But I’m having such a hard time acclimating to the idea of maintaining multiple live fruit fly cultures at a time. It sounds like keeping flies are far more work to upkeep compared to taking care of the actual frogs…
Dendrobates Tinctorius
Made a new friend who has a pet pac-man frog and now I’m kinda interested in a pet frog. She kinda sold me on the idea of having a terrarium and it’s generally low maintenance. I’ve always liked the idea of making one and I think poison dart frogs are very pretty. Need to do a lot of research and design inspo – I really like the idea. We already came up with some potential names for the frogs such as Ube, Boba, Taro, and Potatas – I think we really like root vegetable names 😅
Puzzle time
Momocon is over so got to have some relaxing downtime to work on a puzzle with a friend. Loved she picked this design with 2 geisha’s dancing together ☺️
Keyboard Updates
Testing out differences in RGB brightness between the Nuphy Halo V1 vs the Node HP100.
It’s Me
Recently read the thousandth episode of My Giant Nerd Boyfriend today. The artist questions if her persona is still her or how she wishes to be perceived as.
I can relate to her feelings. I think art a reflection of what was important to capture in that moment.
